[Arknights] Vigil/Doctor Initial Thoughts

Summary: So I started to randomly ship Vigil/Doctor.

Notes: The first part is copy-paste of my Twitter thread with some edits. The second part is completely new, full of delusions.

I ship Vigil/Doctor now 🙈 (I don’t know the abbreviation yet, help, vigdoc?? 😭 Wait that can apply to Vigna too, so vigidoc…?). Over the past few days, they’ve been plaguing my mind…even I’m surprised. I mean yeah, I love alldoc and harem so it makes sense, but…okay, it’s not like I dislike him, but I never thought of him deeply either so. This is a surprise even to me.

It all started with a very random thought, “I want to see them hug platonically, seems cute” and it snowballed from there LOL. I think a passing cute Vigil/Penance art activated my neurons LMAO (I can see why his 2 popular ships exist btw but ofc I went somewhere else lol. No hate though, love and peace).

It helps greatly that my Doctor - Dr. Hana - can’t help but to mess around with a guy like V1gil LMAO so the fun dynamic is there for me. I feel like a lunatic for shipping them out of the blue honestly but what’s new? This is more normal than anything I ever thought for Manba-chan LMAO.

And hey, at least there’s a fanfic in AO3 (and I sure hope there’s more in Lofter, once again crying over my loss of access) so I’m not completely alone!! I saw a Demetri/Doc art too so anything is possible!!!

Anyway, back to vigidoc (temporary name). I still don’t know if I want them - with Dr. Hana at least - to be platonic, romantic, or even sexual. Whatever seems fine to me now lmao. I’ll think more.

WHAT’S WITH THAT REACTION?? HANA WOULD LOVE TO MESS WITH THIS KIND OF GUY FR OMG. STOP BEING SO CUTE!!

“She’s (Penance) looking for me? To discuss my unbalanced diet…? Tell her I’m not here.”

Is that blackmail material I’m sensing? Doctor and Vigil can be partners in crime here. Hehe. Something like, “In exchange for hiding you for Penance, how about you let me off when I’m slacking off?” or even drags him to do something. The possibilities are endless!!

“Hey. Is our ‘cooperation’ just me watching you sleep?”

Yes. Yes. Vigil might’ve berated Doctor for sleeping here, but he doesn’t exactly wake them up. He might be genuinely annoyed at first, but over time, he mellowed out, and even puts his jacket over Doctor. When Doctor is genuinely tired, even he doesn’t have the heart to disturb their rest.

And…what if he can’t resist seeing Doctor’s sleeping face? 😳 Poke their cheeks?!

“If you want to show respect to the Siracusans, then hire a proper Siracusan chef. The next time I see any ‘innovative Siracusan cuisine’ out of your minions… Beh, let’s just say somebody knows about your little office naps, and it’d be a shame if the beans got spilled on your beauty sleep.”

HE THREATENED DOCTOR LMAOOOO. GOD, THAT IS HILARIOUS.

Dr. Hana: “Are you sure you dare to destroy a beauty’s sleep?”

Vigil: (is taken aback by her nonchalant reaction, but cringes from the fact that she calls herself a beauty)

But also, since he’s such a foodie…what if to show Doctor the real Siracusan food is, he takes them out on a dinner date? Hell, he might even cook it himself!! 🥺🥺🥺
