Re: I don’t play housing at all... in r/InfinityNikki

Other people have said good things already but. I'm just gonna say my experience. I neglected it for a week because I was too lazy and I wanted to take photos with Oriin first before he went away LOL. Then, when I finally unlocked housing stuff, it was pretty overwhelming and confusing. The controls suck, too. So I just used the default house while adding things outside (like gardening, fishing pond, and animal lodge), slowly but surely trying to gather materials for things I want, like photo spots (like flower frame - though I somehow forgot about it until a few days ago LMAO. And I already collected all the materials god knows how long ago!!). I actually quite enjoy gardening. Because I started late, I couldn't get all items in Dreamland Store's Detective Study, but oh well, they aren't my favorite and at least they're permanent (just not gonna be discounted anymore) and at least I got what I love.

Then, I saw someone sharing a tree house scheme code and I loved it!! So I saved it, but I only finally used it in this version, completely replacing the old house. I got inspired by the new free garden-themed furniture as well, like the current version's Dreamland Store's furniture (pavilion, etc) and Shop - Home Gallery's Celestial Diary. I prefer to have a garden than a house, so that's what I did! The tree house stays, though lol. So I really only started to constructing in this version.

I stared by decorating the pavilion so that I can take photos there (I think it's a good starting point to get you used to the controls without having to build anything from scratch), then make a garden around it and other stuff. Recently, I finally built a new building on my own, a separate room/house in the tree house. There were many frustrations due to the controls and the fact that the time flows in construction mode, but I got used to the controls over time and I quite enjoyed it. It's satisfying to see what I worked and dreamed of takes shape. It's still annoying how much farming and time I need to craft things, though, and I'm constantly broke lol

(Side note: Me being unable to clear out Dreamland Store's Detective Study allowed to clear out the current feature, which I really love! Silver lining lol.)

Sorry for al the rambling lol. So yeah. Just take your time. If you don't know where to start, just use scheme codes. It's okay to do trial and error, just save schemes regularly so you can easily revert back if you have to. Collect scheme codes and inspirations you like, too.
