I personally don't really like to see such things so I don't do it myself. My private Twitter account is for that
But also, I understand if people don't want to make a new account, especially with how shitty Twitter is
It is quite a sensitive and complicated matter...🫠
Why I don't like it? Mainly because the etiquette/rule in JP fandom is to have separate accounts. When in Rome do as Romans do. And ofc so that people who don't want to see PL stuff can more easily avoid it
(Side note: this is an unspoken/unwritten rule, it's okay and understandable to not know, I started that way too. What's important is to learn along the way and respect people's choices)
It's also nice to have some kind of separation sometimes, makes things neater. Some people have different accounts for different interests/fandoms for a reason
That said, all of the above is my personal feelings and thoughts. I might not agree with what some people do but I ain't gonna police them about this

It's interesting how contrasting the 2 worlds of Bokuto Uno's works are
Alderamin: too focused on religion, what is science
Nanatsuma: too focused on magical research, what is humanity
Both represent the extreme opposite ends (magical research is similar to scientific)
(SPOILERS FOR BOTH SERIES)
And the protagonists reject the norm of their worlds
Alderamin: Ikta is a man of science (he doesn't want to change the empire but lol)
Nanatsuma: Oliver is too kind (his revenge plot is also partly to create a kinder world)
I wrote this before but deleted it cause it's hard to word but I'm gonna try again
Their love lives are also vastly different
Ikta is infamous as a playboy, likes to hit on women, even widows
Oliver is anything but that, he's loyal to one girl and too pure for this world
Oliver doesn't even want his relationship with Nanao to be reduced to reproduction and inheritance (because in the mage world, man-woman relationship is mostly all about that)
He and Nanao already confirmed each other's feelings, hugged, and even KISSED but they didn't officially go out until much later
Another interesting contrast: Oliver's romantic love life is pretty integral to the story. Not really in Ikta's case (at least as far as the anime went, I still need to read the LN, but it's a war story so I imagine it'd be hard lol)
The romantic and sexual tension between Oliver and the heroine Nanao is clear since the beginning
But again, not so much in Ikta's case. He's flirty to all girls BUT Yatori, the heroine and his childhood friend. The difference in treatment is very striking
It clearly shows that he regards her not as as a love interest, but as someone else. Likewise, Yatori also doesn't see him romantically. There's not even a speck of romance between them, but in their OWN words, they're "two as one". They consider each other to be inseparable
Ikta came back just to save Yatori and did things, even things he hates, just for her. He can also snap her out of her berserk mode

So the new UI came to global yesterday.
I saw it in TW/CN before and my opinion is still the same: I hate it. I hate it even more now that I have it in my game.
Sure, I admit it looks cleaner and more modern now, that the old icons look outdated. I also hate how crowded the right side (from where I look) is, to the point there's even an arrow for just ONE more menu - I always think that's stupid.
But at least the old UI is usable, has a clear identity, and are cohesive with everything else. There might be a lot of icons, but it looks somewhat balanced as both right and left sides have icons. This new UI clashes with the other unchanged screens that it feels jarring when I switch between screens. Yes, the UI change is only for a few screens. If you want to change the UI, at least change everything so it'll all be cohesive, please!!
They didn't even bother to edit this screen where there's clearly a missing spot (there used to be another game mode there, but everyone hates it so it got removed):
In the home screen, the menus' positions got moved. It's just a matter of getting used to it. My main problem is how small the icons are and how they look similar to each other, especially the bottom part. I can barely tell what the icons are supposed to be at first glance. They look more aesthetic but it's more confusing. At the very least, I'd much prefer the "Start Journey" icon to be bigger than the rest like the old one. Why is the hide toggle icon (the circle) even bigger and more noticeable than the more important menus/icons??

UPROAR!! was a nice surprise and addition to Holostars after we only had 9 members for so long. I'll never forget the moment when they were announced, the seemingly long wait, the exhilarating long-awaited debuts, and all the memories they've created. They will always be fondly remembered as 4, a quartet that causes an uproar.
When Gan-chan debuted, I was very happy to see a member who can draw. A mangaka on top of that!! It's so cool and I admired him as a fellow drawer. His improvement as both a performer (in singing and dancing) and illustrator/mangaka was a sight to behold.
This is a personal anecdote, but it was really funny when my friend (who isn't really into VTubers) suddenly watched his stream and translated some things in chat. Thank you for making it happen, Gan-chan. I'll never forget about it.
It's really sad to part ways like this. He deserves a better ending. But at the very least, I'm glad he could perform in Holostars 5th anniversary concert - his first and last concert - as a great idol shining on stage and left us with one last message. It's hard right now, but surely, in the future, I'll fondly look back on all the memories.
Thank you very much for everything, Gan-chan. I'll miss you, hyper paripi mangaka. I'll miss your cheerfulness, your energy, your goofiness, and your drawings. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I hope you know that you're loved. You too are a star shining bright in the sky.

Fuck, I hate this...this isn't what I want to wake up to. This isn't what I want to start the day with. I wish it was just a bad dream.
Temma-kun might be my kamioshi and I might not watch and talk about others a lot, but I love everyone in Holostars. Sometimes I lurked in their streams, watched clips, and enjoyed their antics as per their tweets and other fans' tweets. Just 3 days ago, Gan-chan was playing Minecraft and fans tweeted about it...he tweeted just 2 days ago...it's surreal to think that he's suddenly gone now.
As a long time fan, I went through all of Holostars' graduations/terminations except 1 and other VTubers' graduations/terminations. But it never gets any easier. Partings are never easy. Even when I'm not a fan of said VTuber, I still feel the pain. It's especially even more painful when they part so suddenly with no time to say goodbye.
That's the kind of partings that happened in Holostars so far. None of them had a proper graduation stream. Once again, we're left with confusion and sadness with no closure, not knowing what exactly happened. It never gets any easier, and if I may be frank, at this point, I'm sick of it already. The only little consolation is, at the very least, this time, we got a parting message.
Still, as this happened to a group I've supported for the past 5 years...to the VTuber I saw from debut all the way to termination...knowing his aspirations and how hard he worked these past 2.5 years, yet all proof of that will disappear and he could no longer do things he wanted to do...the pain is unlike any other. I actually cried a few times until I got a headache. I also cried again while writing this.
I know nothing is eternal in life. That is especially the case with VTubers, as proven time and time again. This is a harsh reminder of that. That's why, as people said again and again whenever this kind of thing happens, "cherish your oshis before it's too late, so you don't have any regrets" (this also happens to other things and people in general, as you really never know what'll happen in life). But even knowing that, it's not easy...
Not to mention, after the 5th anniversary concert, I feel again how Holostars JP had truly become a 13-members group. We just got "WE ARE THE HOLOSTARS & UPROAR" with 13 people. The lyrics said "13 people". So to take it away so soon is...so cruel...it's so painful...what will happen to the song now?? I wanted a MV, but if that means removing Gan-chan's part, then I don't want it anymore.
Also, this is very personal, but...I still haven't finished writing my blog post about the 5th anniversary concert due to thesis. I know, it's my fault for being so slow and late. Hell, my thesis is also about Holostars. What am I supposed to say there now?? Thesis another thing, but I'm not sure I can finish my blog post, at least for a while. It still hurts a lot to think about and see Gan-chan. I know I should try to watch archives and clips before they're taken down, to reminiscence about him one last time, but it hurts too much, I can't do it... (I said, but I watched some clips anyway.)
Not gonna lie, this kind of thing is why I sometimes think, "Why am I still here, just to suffer?". But I don't think I can get away from VTubers let alone Holostars so easily. I accidentally got here, how do I get out?? So I guess I'll just have to suck it up and cry each time it happens.

Continuation of Kakao Webtoon ID stuff
Kakao announced its strategic decision to sell the majority of its subsidiaries, except its core assets. (Article) This is speculated to be the reason why Kakao Webtoon ID has been weird lately.
My thoughts:
(Sighs) What did I say. It's good to not get my hopes up too much. The updates might've come back, but the events hadn't. The warning signs are still there, so I wouldn't be surprised if it really shuts down. It's still sad, though.
There are A LOT MORE manhwa I love & read there, I even bought tickets. I love the app more than Tapas, too. Not to mention how I think some translations came out better & faster ALSO, IT HAS "CITRA", Tapas DOESN'T!!
At the very least, if it indeed shuts down, Tapas will stop region blocking some manhwa, right?? And they'll FINALLY bring "Citra" into English, right?? RIGHT??? If you take away Kakao Webtoon ID without letting us access these manhwa on Tapas, that's just begging for piracy. 🙃 Cause how else can we read?? VPN I guess but it also sucks. And if we lose "Citra" for good...😭😭😭💔

Continuation of Kakao Webtoon ID stuff
Kakao announced its strategic decision to sell the majority of its subsidiaries, except its core assets. (Article) This is speculated to be the reason why Kakao Webtoon ID has been weird lately.
My thoughts:
(Sighs) What did I say. It's good to not get my hopes up too much. The updates might've come back, but the events hadn't. The warning signs are still there, so I wouldn't be surprised if it really shuts down. It's still sad, though.
There are A LOT MORE manhwa I love & read there, I even bought tickets. I love the app more than Tapas, too. Not to mention how I think some translations came out better & faster ALSO, IT HAS "CITRA", Tapas DOESN'T!!
At the very least, if it indeed shuts down, Tapas will stop region blocking some manhwa, right?? And they'll FINALLY bring "Citra" into English, right?? RIGHT??? If you take away Kakao Webtoon ID without letting us access these manhwa on Tapas, that's just begging for piracy. 🙃 Cause how else can we read?? VPN I guess but it also sucks. And if we lose "Citra" for good...😭😭😭💔

When a work has 戦記 in its title I knew it'd be great (for me)
Related, "Youjo Senki" (The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl) is so boring I'm glad the official English version went with "Saga of Tanya the Evil", it slaps SO HARD and it's so memorable
To be more precise, "Youjo Senki" is such a boring and generic title that it can apply to other works too. Even to Mitsuba (she's also a little girl) lol
I think "Mitsuba Monogatari" can be "Mitsuba Senki" too but I guess "Senki" is a bit too common?? But "Monogatari" is common, too...then again despite the military themes, the author never used that in their titles
"Saga of Mitsuba the Evil" fits too actually, even better than Tanya I think lol
Mitsuba...(SPOILERS ALERT) it is her nature to crave blood, violence, and calamity. She's the true embodiment of "wants to watch the world burn" lolFold

Have I ever said how much I absolutely LOVE Stevens 520's design?? Well, now I said it. I'm a sucker for the kind of dress she wears (lolita??) and it's rare to see it in GFL. Though it hurts me to see such a fine dress got damaged lol.
Of course, I got Stevens 620 too!! Dunno how many tries it took, but it didn't seem too bad. So lucky!!
(Side note: I love how both Stevens actually look like sisters, with the same wavy hair color and purple color palette.)
Also, it's been a while since I last did heavy T-Dolls construction, so I got 4⭐ SGs that turns out I don't have yet: PM5, Liberator, and UTS-15.
